Stephen Fox
I was born in Oxford in 1954
I received no formal art training after fourth
year at school, where I got a prize . After a varied succession of jobs, by 1981, I was a self-employed carpenter
and builder, and began to carve (wood, at first) in 1985. In 1990, I moved to
France, and began to work mainly with limestone and marble. I now divide my time between Oxford and Normandy.
